Tunisair passenger traffic rises 11.3% in October 2017.

(TAP) [yen]" Tunisair passenger traffic posted an increase of 11.3% in October 2017 compared to the same period in 2016, the national carrier said in a statement Friday.

The main indicators in the month of October 2017 compared to October 2016 are as follows:

Traffic, all activities combined, increased from 252,135 to 280,575 passengers.

As for regular traffic it grew 6.1%, from 249,113 to 264,276 passengers.

As for the charter activity, it recorded a remarkable growth of 2,260 to 16,233 passengers thanks to the recovery of tourist traffic. The fill ratio is 74.7% in October 2017.

Regarding the main Tunisair markets, according to the geographic division and in terms of regular traffic, the company said European countries which cumulate a passenger traffic share of 79.1% posted an increase of 5.4%. African countries with 13.2% share of passenger traffic registered a rise of 12.2%.

Finally, the Middle East countries, whose passenger traffic share is 6.7%, recorded an increase of 4.5%.
