TUNIS, Dec. 1, 2010 (TAP) - The second Tunis- Medfranchise show was inaugurated, on Wednesday, by Trade and Handicrafts Minister Ridha Ben Mosbah.

Some 40 Tunisian, French, American, Italian, Canadian, Egyptian and Spanish enterprises specialised notably in the services, catering, electronic industries, handicrafts, food- processing, training and infant care are taking part in this three-day show.

These enterprises have come to propose the right of use of their brand names and trade signs to a designated and franchised natural person or a legal entity, that would distribute products of this trade mark or services in return for a fee.

urkish Franchise Association Chairman Mustafa Aydin said that this mechanism helps reinforce the relations of confidence between economic operators.

He voiced satisfaction at the development of trade relations between Tunisia and Turkey, specifying that trade exchanges rose by 45% in 2010. The exhibition, which is held on the theme "Franchise: To Contribute to Take up the Employment Challenges," is organised by the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry, jointly with the Tunisian Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Union (UTICA) and the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce.
