Tuning up for music festival.

ORGANISERS are planning a big music festival next summer.

They say Oakwell Music Festival will be a one-day, family-friendly event, which will be held at Oakwell Hall Country Park on Saturday, July 12.

Paul Fisher, event manager said: "The beer festival we had this summer was a huge success and now we can turn our full attention to the main event, Oakwell Music Festival.

"We're working on booking some well-known headline acts to play alongside some of the best unsigned bands of the region."

There will be two stages with up to eight acts each throughout the day, playing a mixture of rock, indie, pop and alternative music.

The festival is not-for-profit and all proceeds from the event will be shared among good causes.
