Tsingtao Light debuts in San Francisco.

The top-selling Chinese beer in America, Tsingtao, recently welcomed Tsingtao Light to these shores as the first light beer ever made at the Tsingtao Brewery.

According to the brand's U.S. importing agent, Barton Beers, Ltd., Tsingtao Light contains 99 calories per 12-oz. bottle.

"New Tsingtao Light is the Oriental version of light beer and the Tsingtao Brewery's first line extension of popular Tsingtao," said Barb Starr, product manager for Barton Beers. "For consumers who prefer light beer with Chinese food, Tsingtao Light will fill a very important niche. We plan to support the brand with a great assortment of Chinese-themed merchandising materials as well as dual advertising with Tsingtao."

The beer will debut in San Francisco in early April, Barr stated, followed by Los Angles and New York in May, and a nationwide rollout by June 1.
