Trumer Brauerei Awarded Gold Medal for German-Style Pilsner at 2010 Great American Beer Festival.

Trumer Pils is the Best Pilsner in the World

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Trumer Pils has now claimed a Gold medal at the 2010 Great American Beer Festival (GABF). This competition, organized by the Brewers Association, evaluated beers brewed in the United States and recognizes the most outstanding in their particular styles. The GABF Gold medal win follows Gold medal wins at the World Beer Cup, the Australian International Beer Awards and The European Beer Star.

"Having won Gold in every major international brewing competition cements our belief that this is the best pilsner in the world," said Trumer Brauerei Berkeley brewmaster Lars Larson. "The GABF is the most prestigious beer competition in the United States and we feel so proud to share this outstanding accomplishment with our fellow brewers in Salzburg."

Brewed in the original German Pilsner style, Trumer Pils imports the finest malt and hops from select sources in Germany and Austria to deliver a light golden brew with a creamy head that balances traditional hopping with rounded malt and a sweet, crisp finish. Served in its signature glass, Trumer Pils delights the senses. "The key to providing Trumer Pils to the United States market, while ensuring it retains the best flavor and aroma, is the presence of a dedicated brewery right here in the US," said Lars. "Pilsners are the most delicate of all beer styles and should not be pasteurized or shipped long distances."

About GABF: The 2010 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition drew an impressive field of competitors, with 2010 topping last year's entries by nine percent. GABF remains the largest commercial beer competition in the world, with 3,523 beers vying for medals.
