Troon are Kings.

ANDY PEARSON scored 25 points as Troon Tornadoes hammered Edinburgh Kings 79-65 to lift the Scottish Cup at Meadow bank yesterday.

The Ayrshire outfit surged ahead in the second period on their way to a 45-28 half-time lead.

Aussie star Brett Jefferies, who hit 20, tried to spark a Kings comeback but they came no closer than seven as Troon wrapped up the league and cup double for the first time.

Troon coach Tom Campbell said: "We showed we were the best team when we won the league and we lived up to that today."

Charlotte King's 22 points helped Edinburgh Kool Kats complete the double in the women's final as they beat St Mirren 76-68.
