Trolley rage shows nice people have checked out.

We attempted to proceed to a supermarket checkout but the cashier said that he had closed his counter to get the floor in front of it cleaned as it was extremely filthy so we queued up elsewhere.

At that a point a man barged in to the closed counter with his trolley. Upon being told by the cashier that he was closed, he stood there refusing to move and both the men started talking in Arabic.

The angry customer then puts his items on the belt and the cashier punches them through. When I questioned the cashier he said that the man was not willing to listen.

7DAYS Letter - Trolley rage shows nice people have checked out

The man said that since he was already at the counter, the cashier had to open. He was so rude, inconsiderate and arrogant. But the cashier could have refused to punch in his items.

I have been in Dubai for the past 24 years and have seen a total deterioration in the attitude of people here. I really miss the days where people were polite, kind and considerate.
