Troll locked up for dead girl site post; FACEBOOK.

Byline: JEREMY ARMSTRONG

A FACEBOOK troll who made bogus threats to "kill at least 200" on memorial pages for two dead US girls was jailed for 28 months yesterday.

Reece Elliott, 24, used a fake name to make the sick remarks alongside tributes to car crash victim Caitlin Talley, 17. He also trolled a page for a dead girl of 15.

Judge James Goss QC, told him the offences were driven by "no more than self-indulgent nastiness".

Caitlin's former school in Warren County, Tennessee, went into lockdown and 3,000 pupils took the day off after Elliott wrote: "I'm gonna kill at least 200 before I kill myself. So you want to tell the deputy, I'm on my way."

FBI agents traced the posts to the UK and the dad-of-one, of South Shields, Tyne and Wear, admitted making a threat to kill and sending grossly offensive messages.

Newcastle crown court heard that at 16 the serial offender once tried to rob a bookmakers with an axe.
