Triumph Group Signs 10 Year Agreement With American Airlines.

WAYNE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2001

Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE:TGI) announced today that it has been awarded a ten-year agreement with a five-year option to support American Airlines in-house repair activities for the Honeywell GTCP131-9B APU.

The long-term agreement between American and Advanced Materials Technologies, Inc., part of Triumph's Operational Components Group, provides for the joint development of a parts repair protocol and maintenance program to increase APU reliability and time in service.

Advanced Materials Technologies, Inc., located in Tempe, AZ repairs and manufactures components for auxiliary power units and gas turbine engines for original equipment manufacturers and operators.

Triumph Group, Inc. headquartered in Wayne, PA, designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs and overhauls aircraft and industrial gas turbine components and accessories.

The Company serves a broad, worldwide spectrum of the aviation industry, including commercial airlines and air cargo carriers, and the ground power generation industry as well as original equipment manufacturers of aircraft and aircraft components and industrial gas turbine engines.
