Triple fine, revoking driving licenses, jail terms introduced in amendments to Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
The parliamentary committee on public order and combating corruption passed the 3rd reading of the draft amendments to the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The amendments propose either triple fine with deprivation of driving rights or imprisonment up to 3 years with deprivation of driving rights for 3 years for violation of tariffs rules and causing bodily harm to a person during driving the vehicle.
The same violations of traffic rules leading to death of a person or causing grievous bodily harm are punished by imprisonment for 5 up to 7 years with deprivation of driving rights for 3 years.
Leaving the scene by driver of the vehicle that caused grievous bodily harm leading to death of a person faces 7 years in prison with deprivation of driving rights for 3 years.
The tough measures will be also applied for allowing another person without driving license and under the influence of alcohol to drive the vehicle, which results in causing bodily harm or death of a person.
Violation of safety rules by a pedestrian or other people resulting in bodily harm is also fined triple fine.
