Trio win Brownie Gold award.
PRESTIGIOUS Brownie Gold Awards were presented to three Loughborough members.
Beth Parker, Beth Powell and Madison Capps of 6th Loughborough Brownies, based at the United Reformed Church in Frederick Street, were formally presented with their awards by Sarah Parr, District Commissioner for River.
Their parents, Brownie friends and leaders were present to cheer them on.
The new Gold Award is being officially introduced by Girlguiding from September 2019, but during the year many units have been trying out some of the new skills builders, interest badges and unit meeting activities offered through the new, exciting programme.
Existing girls working on the old style framework have to complete certain elements of the old and new activities to qualify for the Gold achievement.
Helen Cliffe, Brownie Leader at 6th said: "I'm really proud of our girls. This is a journey that they have made together over the past three years.
"They have demonstrated particular commitment, enthusiasm, dedication to the programme and a real desire to be of service their community. Well done!"
