Tried and tasted..

YOU know I love my grenache and M&S has a gem in Laudun Chusclan Vignerons, Reserve de la Saurine, Vin de Pays du Gard. pounds 5.99 for grenache with a dash of Carignan and Syrah.

ASDA is good for a bargain and their M de Murviedro, Syrah, Utiel Requena is no exception. Intense black fruit on the nose and firm tannins on the palate Good length. Value at pounds 5.48.

I'VE told you about barbera in the past and for pounds 6.49 this example from Sainsbury's is very nice. Castelvero, Barbera d'Asti has all the vibrant cherry fruit you'd expect from this grape. Nice with spag bol.

A CHUNKY little number from the land of big steaks, Argentina that is, Vinalba Malbec Syrah, right.

Blackcurrant and plums with a touch of dark chocolate at Asda for pounds 5.98.
