Tributes for investment company boss.

The founder and chairman of a Birmingham property company has died. Peter Lewin, who formed Real Estate Investors in 2004 and it was listed on AIM in the same year, died peacefully on November 25.

He was chief executive until 2007, when he became chairman, a role he held until 2010. He remained a non-executive director until retiring at the beginning of this year.

Paul Bassi, chief executive of Real Estate Investors, said: "On behalf of the Board and everyone at Real Estate Investors, I would like to extend our condolences to Peter's wife, Michelle and to their family.

"Peter was unstinting in his commitment to the Company and his wise counsel was always of the highest standard. He will be missed."
