BEIRUT: Tawheed Movement leader Wiam Wahhab said Sunday parties that supported the establishment of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) would work toward abolishing it henceforth. "Today, you can say that the STL and those who supported it and worked for it will assume the task of burying it with their own hands," he said in reference to the coalition led by Prime Minister Saad Hariri. He added the release of a false STL indictment accusing Hizbullah members in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri would not undermine the role of the resistance. "Our position remains firm beside the resistance and Syria and will not change, irrespective of pressure. The STL that was set up to deal a blow to the resistance and Lebanon is now part of history," he said. -- The Daily Star
