Tribal attitude.

This concerns 'Man threatens to kill himself' (GDN, June 7).

As long as there are situations like this in the letters pages, no one will take Bahrain seriously.

Is it even conceivable that the hotel leaves its employees unpaid while managers are behind bars?

Even if the hotel was declared bankrupt, the employees would have to be paid!

And further down in the letter, GDN was told that the owner had returned and the employees will be paid henceforth.

In which country do employees wait to get paid while the owner enjoys his vacation?

Are there no laws here to prevent it? It's the letters pages that define a country. And truly, Bahrain shows through such letters that it's still a tribal community.
