Triant announces expansion of senior management team; Robert Heath appointed Chairman & CEO; Paul O'Sullivan continues as President and appointed COO.

NANAIMO, BC, July 9 /PRNewswire/

- Triant Technologies Inc. (CDNX:TNT; OTCBB:TNTTF) today announced an expansion of the Company's senior management team to drive the next stage of the Company's development and expected growth. Triant's Board of Directors has appointed Robert Heath, a Director of Triant since February 2000, as Chairman and also as Chief Executive Officer succeeding Paul O'Sullivan, who continues as President, following Mr. O'Sullivan's announced intention to assume the new role of Chief Operating Officer of the Company. The announcement was made by Mr. O'Sullivan.

Bob brings to Triant a senior management background in marketing and sales and in growing businesses on a global scale. Mr. Heath brings considerable experience to Triant and a proven track record of accelerating growth in advanced technology companies. Previously, he was President & Chief Executive Officer of Strydent Software Inc., formerly the Imaging Division of Infowave Software, Inc. He has also held senior management positions with MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) and Cymbolic Sciences, following several years with IBM.

Paul O'Sullivan has been a Director of the Company since 1991. Mr. O'Sullivan was responsible for leading the Company's turnaround with his appointment in 1998 as President and Chief Executive Officer and now brings his varied experience in strategic planning, business development and operations to his new appointment as Chief Operating Officer in conjunction with his continuing role as President.

Mr. O'Sullivan was recently reelected to the Triant's Board of Directors, along with David Baird, Bob Chamberlain, Robert Heath, Frank Judge and Brian Piccioni, at the Company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
