Trend Micro HouseCall Server Edition v6.5 has been introduced by Trend Micro Incorporated (Nasdaq:TMIC), a network anti-virus and Internet content security software and services company.

Trend Micro's HouseCall Server Edition provides online threat detection and removal software for businesses, helping service providers and enterprises to lower network resource and bandwidth usage and end-user support costs.

According to Trend Micro, HouseCall Server Edition helps fight threats such as viruses, spyware and keystroke loggers, and extends support to Linux and Solaris-based operating systems and Firefox and Mozilla-based browsers.

HouseCall Server Edition v6.5 can detect and remove the majority of malware types and features a security scan to allow the user to identify vulnerabilities such as security patches, and an intuitive and customisable interface. It also offers a new port scanning feature which helps check whether any ports may be vulnerable to attack and whether firewalls are configured correctly.

HouseCall Server Edition v6.5 is available in Europe and the US, supporting English, French, German, Italian and Spanish operating systems, with additional language support to be added this year. It can be hosted from a service provider's website to minimise support calls and malware-related support costs and is also available as a hosted service. No pricing information was provided.
