Treat for electro house music fans.

FANS of electro house music are in for a treat with performances by three international DJs taking place at the Cocoon Lounge, Juffair, this weekend.

Sets by Egyptian DJ duo Ouzy and Medoz will take place at the lounge tonight and tomorrow before DJ Yianni DPM gets in the booth on Friday.

Ouzy began his career with performances in Sharm El Sheikh and continued to play at events along Egypt's north coast at some of the region's biggest resorts.

It wasn't long before he cracked the nightclub circuit and performed at outlets, including Pacha Sharm, Little Buddha, La Dolcie Vita, Nile FM and others.

DJ Medoz has made a name for himself in Malaysia, playing regular nights at the Zouk club, Kuala Lumpur.

Contemporaries have commended his urban eclectic style that blends pure R&B roots with dance, disco and electro influences.

Medoz has taken part in Egypt's Heineken Thirst DJ competition and was nominated for this year's African Entertainment Award-Malaysia in the Best International DJ and Best DJ of The Year categories.

Greek-born DJ Yianni DPM will add Mediterranean flavour to the lounge's weekly Gorgeous event.

Critics have underlined how Yianni has updated house music's classic Chicago sound and layered it with fractured funk.

He has showcased his music at events across the UK and the Balearics and is expected to do so at his Bahrain event.

Doors open at 5pm on both nights, entry is free for ladies.

Men will be charged BD5 tonight and on Friday, with free entry tomorrow.
