Hilton Worldwide Hilton Launches MICE Incentive Campaign for Indian Properties . Hilton Worldwide launched a new MICE Campaign in India aimed at the corporate meetings, events and incentives markets. This campaign rewards planners by offering additional benefits when they choose to host a meeting or event at any of the eight Hilton Worldwide hotels in India. The hotels participating in the campaign include Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri; Hilton New Delhi-Noida-Mayur Vihar; DoubleTree by Hilton New Delhi-Noida-Mayur Vihar; Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi/Saket; Eros Hotel, managed by Hilton New Delhi/Nehru Place; DoubleTree by Hilton Gurgaon-New Delhi NCR; Hilton Mumbai International Airport; and Hilton Chennai. Event planners who book 20 rooms or more for an event at any one of the participating hotels will be able choose any one of the following special benefits -- complimentary Internet access for all delegates, complimentary welcome cocktail for all delegates or two rooms complimentary for every 20 rooms booked. Hyatt Hotels Hyatt Set to Open Two New Properties in India. Hyatt Hotels Corporation entered into agreements with Piccadily Hotels Private Limited for two new Hyatt Regency hotels in India. Hyatt Regency Gurgaon and Hyatt Regency Ludhiana will be located in major information technology and manufacturing hubs in northern India. The addition of these two hotel agreements brings the total number of Hyatt-branded hotels under development in India to 55. Slated to open this year and located near GurgaonOs Manesar industrial corridor, Hyatt Regency Gurgaon will feature 452 guestrooms; more than 42,700 square feet of meeting space, including a 24,000-square-foot ballroom and a lobby lounge; a three-meal multi-cuisine restaurant and two specialty restaurants; a bar; a gourmet store; a four-treatment room spa; a fitness center; a swimming pool; and the Regency Club lounge. Located in LudhianaOs commercial corridor, Ferozepur Road, Hyatt Regency Ludhiana will be close to the cityOs premier shopping and commercial developments. Expected to open in late 2012, Hyatt Regency Ludhiana will offer 167 guestrooms and suites, a three-meal restaurant, a specialty restaurant and bar, more than 7,500 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, spa and swimming pool. With 55 hotels under development in India, Hyatt plans to offer its full portfolio of brands in the rapidly growing market. There are five Park Hyatt hotels under development, in addition to two already open; two Andaz hotels under development; four Grand Hyatt hotels under development, in addition to two already open; one Hyatt hotel under development; 19 Hyatt Regency hotels under development, in addition to five already open; 23 Hyatt Place hotels under development; and one Hyatt house hotel under development. The promotion at Kauai Beach Resort includes a compact car from Dollar Rent a Car, free upgrade to an Ocean View room and daily self-parking for $159 per night, plus taxes. Daily breakfast buffet for two persons is available at $10 per day. "Kauai is great for travelers interested in exploring all parts of the island including our famous scenic wonders and the many accessible movie locations," said Janice Ishihara, director of sales. "Kauai Beach Resort is the perfect central home base to enjoy and drive to all the spots you've wanted to see for yourself." Seabourn Australian Billionaire Announces Plans to Build Titanic II. An Australian billionaire running for Parliament says he is building a replica of the Titanic at a Chinese shipyard. Clive Palmer, who built his fortune in real estate and coal mining and apparently likes the media spotlight, said the new ship would accommodate 1,680 passengers and start sailing in late 2016. The Titanic sank in the North Atlantic 100 years ago on April 15 and was memorialized in TV shows and with commemorative cruises to the spot it sank. OIt will be every bit as luxurious as the original Titanic, but ... will have state-of-the-art 21st-century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems,O Palmer said in a statement reported by the Associated Press. The original Titanic was about 46,000 gross tons and has capacity for 2,435 passengers and 892 crew members. The contract for Titanic II reportedly is with CSC Jinling Shipyard in China, but the yardOs website had no mention of the project. The AP story said the ship would have four smokestacks like the original, which was powered by coal, but that they would be decorative. Apr 23, 2012

The group has appointed Jack Stark as general manager for the Tokatoka Resort Hotel. Stark has been one of the longest-serving executive managers with the Warwick International Hotels in Fiji.
