Avis and Budget, GPS systems

GPS systems can help travelers dodge traffic, make flights. To assist travelers in avoiding traffic and meeting flights on time, Avis and Budget will begin renting Where2 global positioning devices at locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The devices monitor traffic and suggest routes to avoid congestion. They're "a time saver" whether or not you know where you're going, says Michael Caron, vice president of product and program development for the Avis Budget Group of Cendant.
