Trapped pup in bit of a spin.

Firefighters had to rescue a Beagle pup who got his head stuck in a washing machine.

Nine-week-old pup Pebbles got its head stuck in a gap at the bottom of the appliance at its home in Cypress Close, Gurnos, Merthyr Tydfil.

Pebbles' anxious owners raised the alarm and called out the fire brigade yesterday morning.

'It got a bit nosey and put its head in a hole behind the kick plate area at the base of the machine,' said leading firefighter Huw Morse. 'It

took seconds for the pup to get its head in and it took us about 10 minutes to get it out. He was fine when we freed him.'
