Transneft JSC - Transneft Connects 4 New Oil Pumping Station as Part of Project for Increasing ESPO's Capacity -- 23/9/2019.
Transneft has completed technological connection of four new oil pumping stations to the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline system as part of the project for increasing the pipeline's capacity.
From 17 to 20 September 2019, the work was carried out during a scheduled shutdown of the oil trunk pipeline on the territory of Irkutsk and Amur Regions.
At the Tayshet IPS-Skovorodino OPS section of the ESPO's phase I, three oil pumping stations (OPS No. 2, 5 and 7) were connected to the pipeline system in the area of responsibility of Transneft East. The goal is to expand the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline system in this section to 80 MTPA.
At the same time, OPS No. 26 was connected to the ESPO-2 to expand the pipeline system at the Skovorodino OPS-Kozmino specialised sea oil port section to 50 million tonnes.
Now preparations for filling process pipelines and connected stations with oil are underway. Their commissioning is planned to be completed by the end of this year.
In order to expand the capacity of phase II of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil trunk pipeline, two more pumping stations (No. 23 in Amur Region and No. 32 in Jewish Autonomous Region) are being constructed. Their commissioning is also planned to be completed in Q4 of the current year. In addition, the oil pumping stations located in Khabarovsk and Primorye Territories and Amur Region are also under reconstruction.
