Tram fine service; Letters..
I RECENTLY decided to use my bus pass to take a ride on the Edinburgh tram from St Andrew Square to the airport.
After some people-watching and a nice lunch, I boarded the tram for the return journey - only to find that I had lost my pass.
I tried to explain the situation to a member of staff, who insisted I would have to pay the PS5 fare. (The last time I was on a tram, in Glasgow, it cost me a penny).
But then conductress Nicky Malloy came along, told me to take a seat and leave it to her.
Before the end of the journey, she arrived with my pass.
Turns out it was found on the way out and sent to the depot, and Nicky arranged for someone to put it on the next outward tram and pass it over to ours at a stop.
Now that's service over and above duty. You're a hero, Nicky.
