What kinds of germs can he on employees' hands? Now they can find out with a new app called the Germ Scanner. The app uses the iPhone's camera to show the potential germs chat could be lingering. On a user's hands. The app shows close-ups of the different types of germs that cause common food borne illnesses and offers facts and tips on hand-washing techniques and food borne illness prevention. Developed as a training add to improve dialogue and correct hang hygiene procedures, the app was created by the National Restaurant Association in conjunction with Georgia-Pacific Professional, with educational material provided by the ServSale program.
