Tragedy of 'passionate' young biker.
THE family of a biker who died after a collision on Christmas Day have paid tribute to a 'passionate' young man 'who had the world at his feet.'.
Cole Porter, 21, was riding a white Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle along Moss Lane, Partington, on December 25, when the crash happened.
A blue Peugeot 206 was travelling along Hardwick Road at around 1.45pm when it was involved in a collision with the Yamaha bike at the junction with Moss Lane.
Cole was taken to hospital following the smash, where he died a short time later.
The driver of the Peugeot stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Cole's family have described him as a 'loving son, a caring brother and a loyal friend.'.
A statement, released through Greater Manchester Police, said: "He was passionate and driven, with the world at his feet. He had the softest heart and a laugh that would fill up the room.
"He meant everything to his friends and even more to his family, and will remain in our hearts forever. Our beautiful boy.
"We are heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this devastating time."
A GMP spokesman earlier confirmed: "Shortly before 1.45pm on Monday 25 December 2017, a white Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle was being ridden in a south-easterly direction along Moss Lane. At the same time a blue Peugeot 206 was travelling along Hardwick Road.
"As the Peugeot reached the junction, it was involved in a collision with the motorcycle. The rider was taken to hospital where he sadly died some time later."
