Blackett Street in Newcastle will be closed due to gas main work between Percy Street and Pilgrim Street until August 8. The A1068 Fisher Lane will be closed between Seaton Burn Roundabout and the A1172, Aerodrome Corner, between 9pm and 6am until August 26. Road closures on the A1 at Morpeth continue between the A197 (Morpeth South Turn Off) and A192 (Morpeth North Turn Off) from 8pm and 6am until November. During the day, the road is open but with lane closures and a 40mph speed limit.
BY BUS Access between Billy Mill roundabout and Lynn Road in North Tyneside will be closed for up to one week in late August. This will affect routes 53, 57A and 308 along Billy Mill Lane and Lynn Road, and route 42 (currently route 80) which will be unable to serve stops on Alwinton Avenue and Morwick Road. A free shuttle bus will run every 15 mins 7am to 7pm, from North Tyneside District Hospital in Rake Lane via Billy Mill Lane, Whitehouse Lane, Alwinton Avenue, Morwick Road, Sheringham Avenue, Lynn Road, Billy Mill Lane and Rake Lane.
BY METRO No service between Benton and Monkseaton and replacement bus service between Four Lane Ends and Monkseaton until August 6. BY TRAIN No planned works
