Trading Post: fahrenheit falters.

Byline: Matthew Williams

IT WAS long odds-on before the race that either Miss Fahrenheit or Sister Cinnamon would land the spoils in Chepstow's opener.

Miss Fahrenheit, the pre-race odds-on favourite, was under pressure a long way from the finish but still traded at a low of 1.2. She has a reputation for her staying prowess and I suppose backers were expecting some sort of fightback. It never materialised, and Elfkirk's doggedness won the day - she was matched at a high of 50.

Sister Cinnamon (matched at a low of 1.54) finished second.
