Trading Post: Sports play of the day: Leeds face tricky start to new season.
Lay Leeds (v Millwall)
Live on Sky Sports 1 at 12.15 THERE has been a gamble on Leeds to get their campaign off to a perfect start against Millwall at Elland Road, but swimming against the tide could prove
profitable, writes Mark Langdon.Back & lay prices Back Lay BFAIR BDAQ BFAIR BDAQ Leeds 1.74 1.75 1.76 1.76 Millwall 6 6.2 6.2 6.4 Draw 3.75 3.7 3.8 3.85 Betfair & Betdaq taken at 6.00 pm last night, commission not taken into account.
United, who were backed at 1.92 earlier in the week, are now trading at 1.75, which looks like a lay, even allowing for the fact that Millwall have had plenty of trouble behind the scenes recently.
Leeds have been busy over the summer, but Kevin Blackwell's side finished below the Lions last season and it looks as if punters are overreacting to Millwall's loss of key personnel.
Blackwell's boys triumphed just seven time at home last term, and perhaps the talk of Millwall's demise is slightly premature. New Millwall manager Colin Lee knows what he is doing at this level and the Lions can take at least a point.
