Trade credit firm to pay out millions.

TRADE credit insurer Atradius has confirmed it will pay millions of euro in claims to businesses hit by the Irish Pride receivership.

The bakery employs 340 staff at its manufacturing plants in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, and Taghmon, Co Wexford.

It has struggled through a difficult trading environment with market and cost pressures and went into receivership in June.

Tony Gordon, head of risk at Atradius Ireland, said: "We are able to confirm we will be supporting claims in the wake of the Irish Pride receivership.

"We are proud of our role supporting Irish businesses and protecting them from substantial financial loss."
