Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE: TM), a Japan-based automaker, is equipping its new Lexus LS model with AGC Asahi Glass's 'Kiriko' glasswork.

The glasswork is chemically strengthened glass with delicate patterns carved into it by using AGC's advanced technologies. It is utilised for door trim ornamentation on the inner door panels of the executive grade Lexus LS500 and LS500h.

AGC says that it has set up a mass production process to create the world's first door trim ornamentation.
