Toyobo Develops Mental Balance, Fabric Series for Improving Psychological and Physiological Conditions.

Tokyo, Japan, Apr 28, 2006 - (JCN) - Toyobo announced on April 26 a new method to evaluate psychological conditions by analyzing physiological data.

The new method, based on multivariable analysis, evaluates psychological conditions from four viewpoints including the levels of relaxation and awakening. Using the data accumulated with the new method, the company has developed Mental Balance, a fabric series that helps improve the levels of relaxation and awakening.

As an initial step, Toyobo will introduce new fabric that focuses on the level of relaxation. The new fabric will be used in inner clothes available from the fall.

The company expects a wide range of applications for Mental Balance, not only in clothes but also in hygiene products, interior furnishing materials and automotive materials.
