Town look for a welcome boost; NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
Town have shipped eight goals in their last two Southern Premier Division games with manager Billy Jeffrey branding last week's 5-2 reverse at Gloucester City as "totally unacceptable."
Jeffrey's men were 4-1 down at the break and he said: "We were especially poor in the first half and although we rallied a little after the break it was far too late by then. I refuse to put up with that sort of performance, it was totally unacceptable and I told the lads so."
Unibond Northern Premier AFC Telford were born out of the ashes of the collapse of Telford United.
They regularly attract crowds of 1,500 and although they crashed 6-3 at home to Bradford PA last Saturday Jeffrey accepts that Town face a tough task to progress into Monday's second round draw and pick up a pounds 2,250 cash bonus from the sponsors. "It is an ideal chance to put last week's debacle behind us, buckle down, regain some pride and start out on a cup run," said Jeffrey.
He has again been frustrated in his bid to bring in new players with clubs unwilling to have loan players cup-tie and so has no choice but to name an unchanged squad.
