DOWN and out in midweek, Huddersfield Town's luck was very in as they bounced back from their Norwich horror show.

But Rotherham must wonder how they did not punish their rivals the same way as the Canaries, who put seven past Carlos Corberan's men.

The visitors hit the woodwork twice, had a goal ruled out, a penalty appeal lost, Lewis Wing was thwarted by the woodwork and keeper - before Ben Wiles' last-minute miss of a sitter.

But Rotherham remain stuck in the drop zone ahead of a horror schedule of five games in the next fortnight. It was a hard-fought clash for the sides, as Town's Jonathan Hogg and Michael

Smith of Rotherham (above) proved.

Boss Paul Warne said: "Our performance was really good. It didn't feel a boring, goalless draw.

"We could not get the goal we deserved. Wilesy was outstanding, so I am not going to criticise him for that late miss, but the way results have gone, it's not a bad point for us."

Town finished the first half on top as Millers keeper Viktor Johansson kept his side in it with a top save to turn away Richard Keogh's rocket.

But it was Warne's men who called the tune in the second period.

Matt Crooks' 'goal' was offside while on-loan Middlesbrough midfielder Wing was inches away with a curling 30-yard free-kick which hit the bar.

Wiles then fired wide, with the goal gaping, and Terriers chief Corberan said: "We had to suffer a lot just to get a point."
