Towards Baltimore 2000.

Yes, I know it is winter, but now is the time to begin planning for our Year 2000 Conference in Baltimore, Maryland! Please send in your ideas for the Leadership Training Workshop. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, from 1-3 p.m. Since we still have plenty of time ahead, we will be looking forward to receiving your comments and planning our agenda for this meeting accordingly. This past year in San Antonio, we discussed revitalizing Branches, ways to keep your Branch active, and the Week of the Classroom Teacher Celebration. One of the topics we would like to discuss at the 2000 Leadership Training Workshop is the relationship among State, Local, and Student Branches. There should be a very tight relationship among these three categories, and we want to help you achieve it. If you have any ideas about this topic, or have any other ideas for the meeting, please contact me at Headquarters. It is always our goal to design the Leadership Training Workshop based on your real needs as a leader. We want to support you every step of the way.

Branch Rebates

By now, many Branches have received their fall rebates. I am still surprised by how many Branches do not take advantage of this benefit. Rebate money can help your Branch attend the conference, or it can be used to fund any of the Branch's yearly projects. Do not let the submission of the Yearly Reports discourage you. These forms are very easy to complete, and in return your Branch will receive valuable operating funds. Take advantage of the Branch rebates and submit your Key Reports every year. Your Branch will be updated in our files, and have a pocket full of money!

I am looking forward to hearing all your ideas and receiving your reports.
