Tourist's ordeal on sea cliffs.
A TOURIST was stranded on cliffs for eight hours after trying to take a short cut back to her lodgings.Siska Dewachter, 22, was eventually led to safety by members of the Skye Mountain Rescue Team at 4am yesterday.
The alarm was raised after the Belgian failed to return to her guest house in Uig.
A spokesman for the Northern Constabulary said: "It appears the young lady had tried to take a short cut back by coming down a cliff. She started to make her descent as darkness was falling, and got stuck."
