Tour drugs bust mars Kurt glory.

NORWEGIAN Kurt-Asle Arvesen won yesterday's 11th stage of the Tour de France but the day was marred by the second doping bust to hit this year's event.

French police detained Spanish cyclist Moises Duenas Nevado after he tested positive for the banned blood-booster EPO following the fourth stage on July 8 in Cholet.

Duenas Nevado, who rides for the Barloworld team and had been 19th overall in the Tour, was immediately suspended by his team and removed from the race.

Arvesen held off AG2R's Martin Elmiger and Alessandro Ballan of Lampre in a sprint finish to give CSC their first stage win of the 2008 Tour.

Australian Cadel Evans held on to the race leader's yellow jersey after staying with his rivals in the main rider pack.
