Top this for music scales!

THE man who created Led Zeppelin's legendary triple-neck guitar has promised to help charity from the sale of his ultimate creation - The Mermaid.

The fully-working fish-tailed guitar has taken three years to build and has so far attracted a bid of pounds 5,000 on the Shop4thelot.com website but auctioneers expect the exclusive item to hit "six figures".

Now guitar maker to the stars Andy Manson has agreed to donate half the proceeds to overseas development charity, Harvest Help.

Andy, who has a workshop in Crediton, Devon, said of his musical mermaid: "As I stand to make a lot of money from her, I want her existence to benefit others, not just myself and the winning bidder."
