Top carry guns.
What, pray tell, makes either a Colt Mustang or SIG P238 "top beginner carry guns" (June/July)? The Ruger SP101 is a wonderful revolver, but what beginner is likely to strap on such weight on a daily basis? Kel-Tec makes some exceptional carry guns for beginners in 9mm and .380, but they were overlooked entirely.
The top carry gun for beginners--and advanced shooter alike, in my opinion, due to both reliability and concealability--is not even mentioned in the article but is shown inside your front cover: the Kimber Solo with laser grips. Given the various enhancements to dry-fire, range sessions and shooting under pressure, should anyone be carrying a self-defense handgun today without a laser?
