Top Class: Sanctuary.

IN December Year 4 adopted a donkey called Chum from the Wildlife Care Centre in Ulgham. Ms Moreno, teacher at Dinnington First School, happily helped them adopt him by selling popcorn to raise funds. They adopted the donkey after a class vote on what animal they should choose. There were all sorts of animals to choose from.

They raised the pounds 20 that went to the sanctuary to pay for some of Chums needs. They will go on trips to see him and find out how he is doing. Year 4 got a certificate to show that they had fostered an animal from the sanctuary. All the animals in the sanctuary need care, love and attention.

Year 3 have recently raised funds for the sanctuary, selling Valentine Fruit Sticks. They are adopting a Tarantula spider ( yet to be named.) Mrs Ward said: "I am looking forward to it visiting school."
