GRUFFALO'S 10th BIRTHDAY, at Waterstones, Cathedral Lanes, Coventry, today from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Join in with some wild fun as the bookseller prepares to celebrate the birthday of The Gruffalo in style, getting up to all kinds of monster mischief with a host of activities inspired by everyone's favourite Gruffalo. If you don't know, the Gruffalo is a character created by writer Julia Donaldson. Free drop-in event.

WORLD KIDNEY DAY on Thursday in West Orchards Shopping Centre, Coventry. Go along and have a go on the treadmill, see some real athletes and find out about the forthcoming British Transplant Games. You'll be helping kick start the 1,000 hours, 1,000 Heroes campaign, with the aim of signing up 1,000 new donor registrations.

DOCTOR WHO EXHIBITION begins on Friday at the Coventry Transport Museum and runs until September. The museum will be the only place in England where you can come face to face with some of The Doctor's scariest foes.
