Top 3 Star [c] Wars games.

STAR Wars games, much like the films, are a rather hit and miss bunch.

Most, unfortunately, are more Phantom Menace than Empire Strikes Back, but a few are worth a look even if you don't know your Mandalorians from your midi-chlorians.

1. Knights of the Old Republic: Before Mass Effect, developer Bioware was proving its storytelling skills in a galaxy far, far away. What could easily have been dismissed as just a stodgy, traditional RPG with the dice rolls hidden from view excelled with memorable characters and a cracking plot that saw you force choking your way across the universe.

2. X-Wing and Tie Fighter: Flight sims are an acquired taste, but what's not to love about the chance to jump into the cockpit of a rebel fighter and take on the Death Star? Even those with an outlook somewhat "darker" were catered for with the sequel and by Rebel Alliance you could fly the Millennium Falcon.

3. Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight: The first game was a Doom-clone with Stormtroopers, but the second upped the ante by giving you force powers and a lightsabre.
