# D AV I D Duchovny is tur ning from an X-File into a sex file for his latest r ole.

The star of the long running sci-fi drama, which saw him investigate the unexplained and get entangled in all sorts of conspiracytheories as Agent Mulder, will be playing Carrie Bradshaw's latest suitor in the new series of Sex and the City .

Oscar winner, Tatum O'Neal is also joining the series as Carrie's friend, a baby photographer and former LA Law star Blair Underwood has signed on to have a fling with one of the four girls later this s u m m e r.

# IT was always going to happen. When you're as talented as Angus Deayton it doesn't matter how many times you get caught with your pants down, you're gonna get employed again.

The disgraced former presenter of Have I Got News For You is set to return to the BBC in an acting role, a year after he was sacked from the popular topical comedy quiz. Deayton is to play a doctor in Nighty Night, a new comedy drama billed as "a west country version of Fatal Attraction".

The drama has been written by and also stars Julia Davis who worked with Welsh comedian Rob Brydon on the award-winning Human Remains.

Nighty Night will be shown on BBC3 in the autumn and on BBC2 shortly after.
