Tonight's Television: A fly in the soup.

UK'S Worst... Restaurants (BBC1, 8pm)

HAVING run the rule over hairdressers and new homes in this latest consumer series, those crusading reporters armed only with hidden cameras and their wit - Nick Knowles and Rianna Scipio - tonight go about exposing Britain's nastiest, most disgusting eateries. If last years' offering of revolting restaurants is anything to go by, get ready to hold onto your stomach as you see footage of half-nibbled pieces of chicken being recycled into new pots of what looks like regurgitated tikka masala sauce. Look out too for images of dark ooze as could only be imagined by Roald Dahl in one of his darker moments, emanating from dingy kitchen corners and barely scrubbed cookers. This programme is bound to turn your intestines so perhaps it's best not to make tonight's meat and two veg a TV dinner.
