Tongue-fried.

BOSSES at Marks & Spencer yesterday revealed the secret behind their best-selling beef - the cows are spoken to only in Welsh.

English is banned at the farm because the harsher tone stresses the animals, they say.

The mollycoddled cattle also get to laze around on soft foam mattresses - all of which is said to help make the meat exceptionally tender.

The cows from Cig Calon Cymru farm in Carmarthenshire provide the meat for the M&S Welsh blacks beef speciality range.
