Toms strike a blow for respect.

THE follow-up to last weekend's Mersey derby match-up between Tom Farrell and Tom Carus for the WBA International belt was almost as memorable as the action it produced.

The pair stood toe to toe for 10 rounds on Saturday night and deserved every ounce of applause which came their way.

Then 24 hours later Farrell posted the following message on his Instagram account.

"No pushing and shoving or chatting s**t, went to war & put on a good show. Most people's fight of the night. Then met up last night for a few @tommycarus #respect."

A heart-warming conclusion to a very good scrap.

Both Toms are a credit to the sport they grace.

Respect... Carus and Farrell
