Tombstone Crow to play major music festival.
Groove metal band Tombstone Crow have secured a slot at a major music festival after winning a video competition.
The Newcastle four-piece are thrilled to be playing Bloodstock next month and will be playing the festival's New Blood Stage, which features up and coming new music from around the world.
Bloodstock is an annual open air metal festival held in Derbyshire featuring the heavier side of rock and metal. This year's event is held from August 6th to August 9th and Trivium, Within Temptation and Rob Zombie will be headlining.
Tombstone Crow won the chance to perform at the festival after entering the Hobgoblin Metal 2 The Masses video contest. Bands from around the world uploaded their videos to compete against each other and fans were asked to vote for their favourite. Organisers of Bloodstock teamed with Wychwood Brewery to create the competition to enable unsigned bands to play at this year's festival.
The band entered the video for Soul of a Sinner, which was shot at Trillians in Newcastle last year by director David Hall, and is taken from their first full length album Shadows From The Grave.
At the end of 2014 original members Steve Barclay and Dave McQuillian left the band and Kev Nolan joined on drums and Rob Nukem on bass. Tombstone Crow are now rehearsing for their appearance at Bloodstock and are also working on new material with the view of releasing a new EP in September.
