Tom and Pat Hanly: selling Sarasota successfully.

Few REALTORS have cultivated the marketing ability and national audience of RE/MAX husband-and-wife team Tom and Pat Hanly.

After making their mark as two of the top-producing RE/MAX agents in New Jersey, (Tom was actually ranked the Number 1 agent in the state), they are now continuing this legacy of success in Sarasota. The book includes color photos, copies of blueprints and all the details a prospective buyer would need to make a decision. Buyers are just as happy with the Hanlys. Why? "We really listen to our customers," says Tom. "We won't show them a property that's more than they want to spend. And we know the inventory. Every day we drive for an hour or so to study the area and to view properties personally."

Experts in relocation, the two have an ability to match the right buyer and property that seems almost telepathic. Through an ingenious networking system called the Opal Connection, which compares the beautiful opal to the opal-like waters of Sarasota, the Hanlys keep in touch with the top-producing 5,000 RE/MAX agents across the country. By the time a prospective buyer arrives, he or she has already received personal letters from the Hanlys and an impressive packet that includes program books from arts groups and magazine articles that describe the area, its economy and demography.

"People don't just buy a house -- they are buying an area when they relocate," Tom says. "We understand that and we like to make sure people are happy with their choice."
