Tom's here for deLonge stay.
PUNK star Tom deLonge praises the Rolling Stones for their staying power - but thinks their gigs stink.
The former Blink 182 star, 30, is back with new band Angels And Airwaves and says that, like the Stones, they are here to stay.
He said: "We are here to rule the planet. I'd like us to be still touring when we are old. People talk s*** about the Stones being on the road and I don't want anyone telling me I can't play music any more, no matter what age I am.
"I did go see them in the US but I didn't really like it. The show just sucked - not necessarily because they are old.
"The production was terrible, they had really lame lights and stuff. There was just no impact."
Tom's new band - whose debut album, We Don't Need To Whisper, is out now - have already won rave reviews and sold out venues everywhere.
And he's confident they won't implode as Blink 182 did. In fact, he reckons Angels And Airwaves will be bigger than his world-beating former band were.
He said: "We will eclipse what Blink achieved, no question."
