Tokyo court rules Samsung has not infringed Apple's key patent.

Tokyo, Aug 31 (Xinhua-ANI): The Tokyo District Court on Friday ruled that Samsung Electronics Co. has not infringed Apple Inc.'s smartphone and tablet computer patent.

The ruling came after a U.S. jury's decision earlier this month that Samsung copied key features of Apple's iPhone and iPad.

Last week, The verdict read in a court in San Jose said that Samsung products violated Apple 's patents related to screen bounceback and zooming.

The nine-member jury found that the Korean company also infringed the design and graphical interface of Apple's iPhone.

The jury awarded Apple one billion dollars in damages. (Xinhua-ANI)
