Bristol Royal Infirmary in the UK has chosen to implement a new medical records archiving solution from Tokairo, a document management and workflow solutions developer.

Under the terms of the agreement Tokairo will supply its TokOpen document management system which will enable Bristol Royal Infirmary to process up to 25,000 documents each day. This will be used to archive medical records for the Infirmary as well as a number of local hospitals.

Bristol Royal Infirmary has also revealed its plans to develop a medical archive accessing application so that medical professionals can view any historical record in a reduced amount of time.

The cost of the implementation was not disclosed.
